These physicians will work, in a coordinated fashion, to provide patient scheduling, registration, and billing. The physician groups won't join all at once. The changes will occur over the next two to three years.
When complete, the Indiana Clinic will be the largest multi-specialty physician group in Indiana, comprised of primary care physicians and specialists.
IU School of Medicine faculty (known since 1987 as IU Medical Group) has long been renowned for providing academic excellence, scientific discovery, and cutting-edge clinical care. It is also among the largest and most advanced medical schools in the country.
Methodist Medical Group and Methodist-affiliated specialty physicians and surgeons have built a large clinical enterprise – from primary care to advanced emergent and critical care services – in areas such as trauma, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions. This continues to grow based on strong support of education and clinical innovation.
Pooling the talents of these physicians will improve the delivery of healthcare across the disciplines – from primary care to specialty care. A more coordinated healthcare system will encourage and enable familiarity with national clinical studies and provide access to the best treatments and latest advances in care across all specialties.

The Indiana Clinic is growing and adding expert primary care and specialty physicians from the IU School of Medicine and Clarian-affiliated facilities every day. Mostly, the physicians joining us are from the Indiana University Medical Group, Methodist Medical Group and other private practice physicians practicing at IU, Methodist, Riley Hospital for Children and other Clarian hospital facilities. We anticipate having 1500 physician members over the next two years.
